Welcome to Cheviot Road & Shirley Avenue Surgeries
With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need.
As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.
Alongside our normal telephone and face-to-face consultations, our practice can offer an online/video consultation service through a platform called, 'Push Doctor'. It is an extension of our service beyond our opening hours. Seeing a doctor via Push Doctor means you can:
- Book an appointment at a time that suits your schedule and when we are closed
- Consult with an NHS GP
- Video link will help the doctor see any areas of concern in relation to your condition
To get started, simply download the Push Doctor smartphone app or click Here to visit the Push Doctor website and create an account. You will be able to select an appointment of your choice.
Use the Right Service
Use the Right Service aims to help people access the correct NHS services. Throughout this website, you can find information about what service is best for you, and how you can make an appointment or visit the most suitable service. Use the Right Service has been developed by HealthWeb Solutions and a number of NHS partner organisations. You can find out more on their About Us page. You can view the Use the Right Service artwork in a variety of different languages, here.
We are delighted to share the news that a new service to help you quit smoking has been launched in collaboration with the Community Wellbeing Team and funded by Public Health England.
We would be very pleased to help organise a referral to the service on your behalf or you can organise your own referral by calling service administrative team using details as follows
Telephone: 02380 296070 (Monday - Friday 08:30 – 16:30)
The team will offer a 6-week programme either face to face or remotely. Face to Face clinics are currently located at Brook House Surgery on Wednesdays and Thursdays and in due course it will expand its face-to-face sessions to other surgeries.
